Lift Foils
Founded in 2011 in Puerto Rico by Nick Leason and his father Michael Leason, Lift Foils began as a family business in the emerging sport of hydrofoiling. They started making hydrofoils quite early before the sport became so popular and perfected the aerodynamic design. After several years of testing, the vision came to bring the sport to a larger non-surfer audience.
In 2015 Nick and Michael started designing the efoil, a very intensive project. After three years in 2018, the first efoil was launched.
Flying without wind or waves
The Lift Foils efoil uses advances in lithium battery technology and wireless communication to create an experience that is a mix of surfing, flying and snowboarding in deep powder. The efoil is equipped with a powerful, quiet electric motor, a state-of-the-art battery and high-quality carbon boards, foils and wings designed and shaped by master craftsmen. These components ensure that surfers of all athletic abilities have the ability to fly above any type of water, without being propelled by wind or waves. Today, as the inventors and first mass distributors of the efoil, they are proud to have shipped thousands of copies worldwide.

Although they have grown quite a bit since our inception, Lift Foils is still a family business. Our team of surfers, engineers, shapers, component experts and designers is close-knit. As they grow, they continue to focus on the core goals: to make everyone who works with Lift or uses their products feel part of the family, and to hold the products to the highest standards to ensure the best experiences on the water.
